JOB TITLE: Security Police Officer III
DEPARTMENT: Special Response Team (SRT) Department
SUPERVISOR'S TITLE: Lieutenant, Shift
SHIFT ASSIGNMENT: Rotating

MAJOR DUTIES:
1. Execute and enforce all Emergency Security Operations Procedures, security and post orders, and all other procedures as directed by supervision.
2. Perform as an integral member of a tactical response force using dynamic team tactical skills.
3. Train with special weapons and/or specialized skills to meet operational requirements.
4. Comply with all WSI-SRS SRT security orders and procedures.
5. Must perform all responsibilities for environment, safety and health as defined in Company procedures and adhere to the principles and functions of Integrated Safety Management.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Reading, writing, and basic math skills are required.
2. Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license. Must be at least 21 years of age.
3. Prior Law Enforcement, Special Operations, Military Police, Military (Combat Arms), or other tactical experience is preferred. Associate Degree is preferred.
4. Must be able to successfully complete the Security Police Officer II (Basic) and III (Special Response Team) training classes.
5. Must obtain and maintain Security Police Officer III qualifications (80% weapons accuracy qualification on stationary courses of fire and 90% weapons accuracy qualification on shooting on the move courses of fire).
6. Must successfully complete General Employee Training, Firearms Qualification, Offensive Combative Physical Standard, Intermediate Force Techniques and Radiation Worker Training.
7. Must obtain and maintain Offensive Combative Standards, Obstacle Course, Close Quarter Battle and Ranger Unit-type standards.
8. Must be able to operate as part of a highly motivated tactical team while moving rapidly over various terrain of several miles and able to accurately engage and eliminate adversary forces.
9. Must obtain and maintain aircrew status.
10. Must be able to successfully pass a counterintelligence-scope polygraph examination.
11. Must be able to successfully pass a Federal background investigation and must attain a DOE Q level security clearance and Human Reliability Program Qualification to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified matter. Additional reviews and/or testing procedures may be required for designated positions.

COMPENSATION:
The rate of pay for the Security Police Officer III Trainee, Special Response Team is $17.50 per hour. The trainee is elevated to the probation rate of $19.22 per hour after successful completion of the Security Police Officer III Certification Training course. After a 12-week probation period, the trainee is elevated to $19.88 per hour. Pay rate changes after completing probation are on a 6-month cycle.
