About The Company:
Los Angeles County Police is a specialized police agency within the County. We provide law enforcement within the County parks, hospitals, clinics, Juvenile Halls, County Airports, and other County buildings. Various types of patrol include vehicle, foot, boat, mounted, bike, gang, K-9 handler, Tactical Response Force, and a specialized Weapon of Mass Destruction Team.
Positions Available:
Police Officer Trainee (Entry Level):
- Graduation from high school or its equivalent.
- Successful completion of the basic law enforcement training program approved by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training.
- At least 20 years of age at time of appointment
- A valid California C Driver License is required to perform job related essential functions.
- Applicants must be a U.S citizen at the time of appointment.
Police Officer (Lateral):
- Successful completion of the basic law enforcement training program approved by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and training, which includes an extensive background investigation of the individual’s physical, mental and moral fitness for the position
- And One year previous law enforcement experience with a POST certified agency.
- A California Basic POST Certificate. *A copy of your POST Certificate must be attached to your application at the time of filing*
- A valid California Class C Driver License is required to perform job-related essential functions.
