About The Company:

The Detention/Court Services Academy currently consists of 520 hours of training which are STC certified.The Detention/Court Services Academy runs approximately fifteen weeks in length.Academy classes are held Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 3:30 at Miramar College.The DTU runs four to six Detentions/Court Service Academies per year, sometimes concurrently.

Law enforcement academies consisting of between 30 and 90 recruits starts every six months.Academy classes are held Monday through Friday, 7:00 to 3:30.The 25-week Basic Course is currently certified at Miramar College as a 27.5 unit course. Successful completion results in the awarding of a California Basic P.O.S.T. certificate when combined with one year law enforcement service.
