Positions Available:

Special Agent

The Most Competitive Special Agent candidates:

Are 21 years old, and no older than 36 years at the time of appointment
Have a bachelor's degree, with a GPA of 2.95 or higher
Special consideration will be given to candidates with degrees in Criminal Justice/Police Science or related disciplines; Finance, Accounting or Economics; foreign languages (with fluency verified) in Spanish, Russian, Hebrew, Arabic, dialects of Nigerian languages, Chinese and Japanese; Computer Science/Information Systems; and Telecommunications/Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
Are in excellent physical condition "PTT training booklet" (1.9 MB PDF*)
Applicants selected for employment should plan to report to Basic Agent Training class in the best possible physical condition, prepared for a daily regimen of physical activities and testing. Daily activities may include a variety of activities in Strength, Flexibility, Agility, Cardiovascular and Defensive Tactics Training. A rigorous 84-hour physical fitness and defensive tactics regimen is designed to prepare new Special Agents to prevail in compliant and non-compliant arrest scenarios.
Sharp hearing acuity (hearing aids are disqualifying)
Distance Vision: 20/20 or better in one eye, 20/40 or better in the weaker eye. If you need glasses or contact lenses to meet these standards, then you should also have distance vision of 20/200 or better in each eye without glasses or contact lenses.
Near Vision: 20/30 or better (can be with corrective lenses).
Normal color vision
Ability to carry 45 pounds or more, capable of heavy lifting
Are U.S. citizens
Have a valid U.S. driver's license
Are willing to relocate anywhere in the U.S.
Are able to obtain and retain a Top Secret security clearance
