Job Titles and Descriptions:

Federal Law Enforcement - Police Officer

Primary responsibilities include protecting life and property; preventing, detecting, and investigating criminal acts; and enforcing traffic regulations throughout a large comlex of congressional buildings, parks, and thoroughfares. Responsible for protecting Members of Congress, Officers of Congress, and their families.

The United States Capitol Police will also be conducting the written Police Officer Selection Test at the career fair. The written test consists of 65 multiple choice questions (reading comprehension, spelling and grammar, and math). You must achieve a passing score of 70 or above to receive an application package. Take advantage of this opportunity to take the exam during the job fair. We allow 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the exam. You must show a valid driver's license for admittance into the exam.
