Small Business Representative will achieve sales quota by successfully selling RCN Internet ,Video, and phone services to business customers within the Chicagoland area. The Rep will employ an effective sales strategy using cold calling, direct mail, and in house generated leads. RCN utilizes an outbound telemarketing team to assist in qualifying and setting appointments with potential customers.
Qualifications include 1 – 2 years previous Business to Business sales experience. Telecommunications background preferred. Excellent communication and presentation skills required. College Degree or equivalent professional experience preferred.

We offer a dynamic opportunity to represent RCN in direct sales initiatives – driving sales by contacting potential customers, working door-to-door in your territory. You will also participate in community / sales events, outbound telemarketing, distributing marketing materials, providing customer service and more!
Qualifications include 1 – 3 years previous sales experience with a proven track record of success, college degree preferred, previous door-to-door sales preferred, computer proficiency in Word, Excel and email applications. Financial Analyst
As a member of the RCN Chicago Finance team, this individual will be responsible for financial and operational analysis. This will include trend and variance analysis, reviewing financial statements, and supporting all forecasting, budgeting, and long term planning activities. Additionally, this individual will monitor purchasing, capital expenditures, inventory, customer payment center activities and facilitate the administration of the sales commission plan.
This role requires direct interaction with the Chicago Management Team, together with the Corporate Accounting/Finance function, to ensure accurate financial statement reporting. This position will also work with department Directors by providing timely financial information to identify and resolve financial statement variances. Working closely with RCN Chicago’s Director of Finance, this person will ensure strict adherence to Accounting Policies and Procedures, and conduct special analysis and projects as required by the business.
Qualifications:
BA/BS in Accounting or Finance with 2+ years experience; CPA or MBA designation a plus. Successful candidates will be proven motivated self-starters who are comfortable in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. In addition, they will be able to demonstrate how their excellent communication and technical understanding allow them to effectively drive the direction of the business. Attention to detail and proven analytical skills are required. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Excel, Word and Powerpoint are also required. Oracle and Hyperion Systems experience are a strong plus.
