Basic Qualifications:
1. 4- year BA/BS degree required from an accredited institution
2. Ability to travel domestically as necessary, which may include overnight and/or weekend travel up to 25%.
3. Requires a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will possess one or more of the following:
-outside (non-retail) sales experience, i.e., requiring the development of a customer base.
-pharmaceutical or medical sales
-experience in the healthcare industry, i.e. interaction with patients or doctors relating to diagnosis, treatment or prescribing- MD, OD, RN, RPh, etc.
-experience educating and influencing “customers” (teachers, counselors, etc.)
• Must have acceptable driving record
• Documentation of success a plus.
• Demonstrated success in influencing a customer group.
• Experience developing and sustaining a customer base.
• Proven ability to positively impact sales in territory.
• Ability to comprehend complex products of a scientific nature.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.

In this role, you will have responsibility for establishing and maintaining customer relationships while growing market share in a competitive marketplace. The Sales Representative we are seeking understands the needs and preferences of the customer while leveraging their influencing skills to aggressively expand product market share.
Key Responsibilities:
• In a team environment, sell pharmaceutical products to specific customer market in a protected territory.
• Develop local business plan to increase market share by outlining tactics, activities and resources.
• Utilize customer-focused selling techniques to maintain high customer intimacy and customer knowledge of GSK products.
• Develop and deliver informative sales presentations based on customer needs. Knowledgeable and selling with integrity.
• Enforce and follow Commercial Policies and Practices in your daily activities while promoting our products with integrity in the marketplace.
• Develop creative sales strategies to reach hard-to-see doctors & hard-to-work accounts.
• Actively seek and display a thorough knowledge of GSK pharmaceutical products, key customers in territory, competitor products and product objectives.
• Work collectively with other representatives in arranging speakers, displays and special programs.
• Maintain current, approved protocol and promotional materials to be included in sales presentations.
• As assigned, make calls on retail pharmacies and other special customers.
