LaCosta is a leading branding consultant and coach specializing in non-profit management, visioning and leadership coaching; helping organizations and leaders to develop and articulate their visions for on-going growth and success. She is a dynamic professional with extensive experience in reputation management, brand development, organizational communications and strategic planning facilitation. Transferring the same techniques from the professional world to the personal world, LaCosta works with others to discover and impart their “Personal Brand,” so that they can best articulate and implement their uniqueness in powerful and authentic ways.

Before coaching and consulting, LaCosta worked at one of the nation's top advertising agencies, Deutsch Inc., and executed research, planning and account management for successful regional and national client campaigns and product launches. Her experience includes the development and implementation of marketing research relative to the visibility and growth of clients from state-of-the-art medical practices and surgical centers to arts organizations and therapy practices. Since then, groups have brought LaCosta on to devise and implement branding, vision and mission statements, as well as communications models and style-guides. She has reconstructed organizations’ institutional branding efforts, utilized gap analyses for their growth and coached for leadership acumen among supervisors, managers and executives.

She is a sought-after presenter on issues such as branding, strategic communications and motivation. Additionally, as a survivor of violent assaults, she is often invited to speak and write on the topics of risk-taking and survival of traumatic events.

Connection – engagement – authenticity. When I work with an audience – I am responsive, reflective and animated. Always keeping in mind that it is an interactive experience and that as a group we are dynamic, I develop the material to penetrate people’s curiosity and desire to learn – to meet their determination for positive change.

This mission to show others how creative and cohesive communication can propel them forward in personal and professional experiences fuels my passion to deliver high quality, engaging and rich presentations.

I realize that most people have an idea of where they want to be, – but how to get there using the best directions is often the crucial missing piece.

When I speak to a crowd I inspire new ideas about how they can manifest change, better direction, more visibility. I bring years of experience in for-profit, non-for-profit and individual coaching to the table for the benefit of all.

When you hire me as a speaker you get more than an expert in communications and branding, you get an authentic presenter with energy, vitality and integrity and a willingness to take your group to the next level. Presentations can be reflective, motivational and action-oriented.

Audience members walk away renewed, uplifted and ready to meet and overcome daily challenges whether they are personal or professional.

“When I made the decision to attend the Personal Branding workshop, I had developed a preconceived notion of what would be presented. I was quite inaccurate. This workshop was about empowerment and identity. It was exactly what I needed to hear. Jessi presented the material in an interactive and engaging manner. I have already begun to implement some of the ideas and concepts discussed.” Sheila Prados, Baltimore, MD

One of the points that has stuck most with me is that one must be consistent and true to your image in every communication and interaction with the public. Barnes, Human Rights in North Korea Project, FREEDOM HOUSE Washington, DC
