About

Lisa Braithwaite is a professional speaker and public speaking coach working with individuals to uncover their challenges and build their strengths as speakers.Before launching the public speaking coaching business, she worked in the nonprofit sector for sixteen years as an advocate, educator and trainer, creating and implementing programs, curricula, and training materials for nonprofit organizations. She received her B.A. in Theater from Pomona College and her M.A. in Education from UC Santa Barbara.

My philosophy is that public speaking is fun, it's a perfect way to express yourself creatively, and that authenticity and passion are worth more than a thousand techniques. You won't see a super slick robot on stage when you hire me - I'm a real person making a real connection with the audience.

My presentations and workshops are engaging and interactive, and here's the reason: it's all about the audience!

The needs of the audience come first for me and it's my job to find out what those needs are and then meet them.

I'm not going to try to make myself look smarter or more clever than anyone else. I'm not going to try to show the audience how brilliant or important I am. Because it's not about me - it's about you!

You also won't find me spouting theoretical, jargon-laden content that vanishes into thin air when the presentation is over.

My presentations are based on personal experience and solid research. They're concrete, in plain English, fun, and full of useful and valuable ideas for participants to implement right away.
